So, after visiting websites made by others for quite some time, you ultimately decided to have one of your own. And you have chosen me to be your partner in this indevour. I am glad to know that. For introduction, i am webnirman,your host for this journey of webdesigning. We will be going through several steps towords the end of webdesigning(Actually there is no end of web designing. I was pointing out the end of this session. He.He.He.He.He.He.He......) where you will consider yourself as complete web master.

Now let us discuss the pre-requisits for starting the web design.

First of all you should have one computer and should know your computer very well( Like how to start and shutdown, how to use keyboard and mouse....................Just joking).

One good editor program: Yes, some people says that you can even use your notepad or wordpad. But my advise is that you should not use these as these can not help you getting good start. You should always go for a good editor and HTML editor will be a good start. Although several HTML editors are available on the net( Most of them are free ), you should choose the editor which you feel easy to work with. One good web host: Web host is one who will host your web pages. There are several web hosts available over internet who will host your pages. There are some webhosts who will host your pages for free but they will put some advertisement on your pages. These advertisements may be in the form of banners, text links, frames or pop-ups. If you are very new to web design then these free web hosts could be a good choice. When you becomes master of web design or if situation demands you can switch over to paid hosting. One good FTP program: Obviously you will be making your webpages locally on your machine but you require one FTP( File transfer protocal ) program to transfet these files to your webhost server so that it becomes available to entire world. FTP program connects your local file folder to your server folder at webhost and transfets files to server or vice-versa. Almost all FTP programs are easy to use and not much learning is required to use them. Most of the time, help file is associated with these programs. Read these files and get going. Last but not the least, you should have internet connection available with you always as initially you will be doing frequent editing to your pages which you can convert to scheduled maintenance when you become master of web designing.
